Auditions

ANNOUNCING AUDITIONS FOR EDGEWOOD SYMPHONY OPENINGS AND SUB LIST 

Players of all instruments are welcome to audition, although not all orchestra sections have openings at this time.   

The audition will last approximately fifteen minutes and consist of:

• a short piece or excerpt (no longer than 5 minutes) of your own choosing;
• a short sight reading excerpt chosen from the season’s program;
• a short excerpt that will be mailed to you.

If you would like to audition, please register online at the audition link, or call Marilyn Myers, Personnel Manager, at 724-444-6694 so that you may be scheduled and the music can be mailed to you.  You MUST be scheduled to audition. Please remember to include your phone number(s) and mailing address. 

The Edgewood Symphony Orchestra is a volunteer orchestra headquartered in Edgewood Pennsylvania. The ESO holds scheduled auditions each year in July and August, and as positions become available. Currently, as we venture to grow our orchestra, we welcome auditions for all instruments. Apply anytime for an audition. You will be contacted with availability, and dates and times in which to choose for your audition.

Please include instrument(s) as well as relevant experience. Also please include a telephone number where you may be reached, any organizations you've previously played with, and your current residence.
