Thomas Wesley Douglas Guest Conductor, May 21st concert

Thomas Wesley Douglas has done more than 150 musical theatre, opera and oratorio productions. He has conducted Andrew Lloyd-Webber's Phantom of the Opera based in Basel, Switzerland. He has enjoyed many stage roles and concerts . Thomas is the conductor of the Bach Choir of Pittsburgh and works frequently as Musical Director at the Pittsburgh's City Theater and Music Theater of Wichita. He is also on the faculty of the Drama School and the Music School at Carnegie Mellon University. He was the conductor of the premier of Nathan Davis' jazz opera, Just Above My Head. Thomas has been the Chorus Master of the Canton Symphony, the Assistant Conductor of the Mendelssohn Choir, the founder of the Pittsburgh Chorale East, and has also been the guest conductor of the Dallas Symphony chorus. With conductor Eduardo Mata, he is the founder and Artistic Director of The Neighborhood Opera Company and is planning a newly revised production of Mozart's The Magic Flute in 2006.
