CARL T. IEZZI, Guest Conductor, Oct 23rd concert:

Carl Iezzi has had a long varied career as both a music educator and performer. A grad of Duquesne University School of Music, with degrees in Music Education, French Horn and Music Theory, Mr. Iezzi taught for 30 years with the Pittsburgh Public Schools, the last 11 as Director of Music at Rogers Middle School for Creative & Performing Arts. He has been on the faculties of Seaton Hill College, Duquesne and Carnegie Mellon Universities. He also spent 3 years as a member of the education department of Pittsburgh Opera, serving as coordinator of the Pittsburgh Opera Academy for Educators.

As a performer, he has played with the Wheeling and Butler Symphonies, Pittsburgh Opera, Pittsburgh Ballet, Civic Light Opera, River City Brass Band, and 26 years with the Westmoreland Symphony as a horn player and associate conductor.

He was Music Director of the Pittsburgh All-City Honors Orchestra. He is now conductor of the N. Suburban Symphonic Band, and teaches french horn and music theory at the Pittsburgh Center for Musically Talented.
